our roasting process

At Revolución, every coffee starts with thoughtful sourcing. We source beans from top coffee-growing regions around the world, working directly with farmers or trusted partners like Falcon Coffees to find beans that match our flavor goals and values.
Image
Once we’ve found a few promising options, we taste (or “cup”) each one—hot, warm, and cool—to understand its full flavor profile. From there, we choose the coffees that best fit Revolución.
Image
The beans travel from all around the world all the way to our roastery in San Antonio, TX. Once they've gotten some much-needed rest, we begin testing. We roast small test batches using our sample roaster and cup them again to dial in the ideal roast profile—balanced, expressive, and true to the bean.
Image
Once we’ve nailed the profile, we replicate it on our Bellwether—a fully electric, ventless, zero-emission roaster. It's eco-friendly, energy-efficient, and built for precision.
Image
After roasting, beans rest for 4–7 days to allow the flavors to fully develop. Then they’re ready to be brewed in our cafés or shared with our wholesale partners.
